Thomas Colella
FounderI've spent more than 20 years in the road rehabilitation business with Highway Rehab
Corporation, a hot in-place asphalt recycling company where I'm now part owner. Much of that
time was spent maintaining and repairing the equipment we build, including a fleet of more
than 100 hydraulic cylinders. When we were too far from a shop, we rebuilt them in the field
ourselves.
When we could, we sent our cylinders to Airline Hydraulic, a company we've worked with for
over 25 years. When Airline closed its cylinder division, I decided to purchase the equipment
and bring on the same team that had been repairing our cylinders, and many other people's, for
many years. Kirk, our foreman and cylinder specialist; Mike, our welder and fabricator; Joe, our
machinist; and James, our cylinder technician, bring more than 60 years of combined
experience. I have complete trust in their ability and their integrity.
Having run heavy equipment for a living, I know firsthand how costly downtime is. That's why
we focus on fast turnaround, quality work, and dependable service, so you can get your
equipment back on the job with confidence.
Outside of work, I'm usually with my wife and our three girls, out hunting, on the golf course (I
enjoy the challenge), or tinkering in the garage and yard. I like to travel and hope to do more of
it in the years ahead.
Joe Sikorski
Hydraulic Machinist & WelderJoe brings 30 years of hands-on experience in machinery repair, welding, and fabrication to
WNY Cylinder Works. He specializes in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, handling repair,
remanufacturing, and troubleshooting to get our customers' equipment back to work fast. Joe
holds multiple welding certifications, and when a part can't be bought, he can usually build it.
He's known for dependable, detailed work and a strong commitment to safety on every job.
Off the clock, you'll find Joe hunting, fishing, or at the races.
Kirk Jago
Shop Foreman & Senior Cylinder TechnicianKirk Jago has worked in hydraulics and hydraulic cylinder repair for 28 years. His experience
includes hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder repair, seal identification, and cylinder upgrades.
Kirks years of experience allow him to not only repair a cylinder but understand what failed and
why. This allows us to provide customers with information that can help prevent premature
failure moving forward. He is committed to providing every customer with a quality repair at a
fair price.
Outside of work, Kirk is a farmer. That firsthand experience with equipment downtime gives him
a practical understanding of how important quick, dependable repairs are to customers.
James Culbert
Cylinder TechnicianJames Culbert has been a cylinder technician for 19 years, bringing nearly two decades of hands-
on expertise to every job. Originally from Lyndonville, James now lives in Alden, NY, where
he's been married to his wife for 12 years and recently welcomed a son into the family.
Outside of work, James enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, and trail riding on his ATV whenever
he can find the time. But what matters most to him is spending time with his family and teaching
his son the things he's learned along the way.
Mike Miller
Welder & FabricatorI got my start in the hydraulics trade in 2004 with Weber Hydraulics, and I've been repairing
cylinders for 22 years now. I've been welding and fabricating for 30 years. That background
means that when a replacement component isn't available, I can make one in-house.
I enjoy what I do. There's real satisfaction in taking a worn or damaged cylinder, fabricating
what it needs, and sending it back out built to last.
Away from the shop, I enjoy the outdoors, especially hunting, and I'm a big motorsports fan.
